• The Ethiopian Journal of Higher Education

    The Ethiopian Journal of Higher Education (EJHE) is one of the publications of the Institute Of Educational Research, Addis Ababa University. The Journal is primarily devoted to disseminating findings of scientific investigations related to higher education. We solicit articles from researchers of high professional caliber. We also accept Commentaries, book reviews and case studies on issues related to higher education. Manuscripts should not exceed 30 pages; typewritten on one side of the paper only; and Double-spaced. Commentaries, book reviews, case studies and the like should not exceed 15 pages.


    IER FLAMBEAU is one of the publications of the Institute of Educational Research (IER). It publishes modest research reports, educational issues, stories, views, facts and figures. Researchers, professionals, teachers (teaching at all levels – primary, secondary, tertiary) and students are invited to send their contributions to the IER for possible publication.

    SINET is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual journal of science published by the Faculty of Science, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. The Journal is designed for an international readership both within Africa and overseas.   • Ethiopian Journal of Languages and Literature

    The Ethiopian Journal of Languages and Literature (EJOLL) is a peer reviewed publication providing an outlet for research reports of interest to researchers and practitioners in the broad areas of language, literature, folklore, philology, media and communication studies. Contributions to the Journal may cover empirical research, theoretical work as well as review articles and book reviews. Brief reports of research in progress or field reports may also be submitted. Additionally, the editors encourage the publication of practice oriented reports illustrating the application of theory to practice.

  • Zede Journal

    Zede is a scientific journal on engineering science and application, produced under the auspices of the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University. The main objective of the journal is to publish research articles, findings and discussions on engineering sciences, technology and architecture thereby assisting in the dissemination of engineering knowledge and methodologies in solving engineering problems. Technical Notes of significant contribution may be considered for publication.

    The Ethiopian Journal of Pediatrics and Child Health aims to contribute towards the improvement of child health in developing countries, particularly in Ethiopia. The journal publishes original articles, reviews, case reports pertaining to health problems of children.

  • Ethiopian Journal of Biological Sciences

    The Ethiopian Journal of Biological Sciences is the official journal of the Biological Society of Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Journal of Biological Sciences (Ethiop. J. Biol. Sci.) Publishes scholarly standard (full length) articles in the various basic and applied biological disciplines. It also publishes featured articles, short communications, review articles, book reviews and dissertation abstracts in the various basic and applied biological disciplines to biologists and other workers in related fields of study.

  • Momona Ethiopian Journal of Science

    Momona Ethiopian Journal of Science (MEJS) is a free access e-journal devoted primarily to the original contributions containing original scientific findings in any of the science fields, having national or international appeal and significance. It is aimed to publish the research output mainly related to Earth Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Computational Sciences; and focuses on all aspects of geology, chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics and related areas. It publishes original peer-reviewed scientific papers, covering both basic and applied aspects of science including interdisciplinary researches. It will also include short communications, invited review papers, general review articles, book reviews, letters to the Editor, comments and critique of published materials, information related to conferences and any other relevant topics. Papers from researchers working in different sectors, academic institutions, industry, companies etc having national/international interest are accepted for publication.

    A multi-disciplinary peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the College of Health and Medical Sciences, Haramaya University.  The East African Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences (EAJHBS) publishes original articles, reviews, meta-analysis, case reports, clinical scenarios/observations, brief reports, and letter to the editors on all areas of health and medicine coming from anywhere in the world.

    Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (JAES) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access journal that publishes original research as well as review articles on agriculture and environmental sciences.     The Journal publishes analytical, descriptive and methodological articles, as well as original research, on public health problems, management of health services, health care needs and socio-economic and political factors related to health and development. More specifically, the Journal focus on important topics in health development that include: health policy and health politics; health planning, monitoring and evaluation; health administration and organization of health services; hospital administration; health manpower, including training; health economics, financing, and health development; health statistics and health information systems; maternal and child health, including family planning; environmental health and water; food and nutrition; health education; epidemiology and communicable diseases including HIV/AIDS, TB and STI; community involvement and inter-sectoral approaches to primary health care; drug supply and distribution; socioeconomic factors related to health and health services, medical geography, broader topics on scientific work on health care technologies; rights and obligations of communities in participation in health care; and international health organizations and technical cooperation among developing countries.

    The Ethiopian Journal of Development Research (EJDR) is a bi-annual journal devoted to development oriented research and published by the Institute of evelopment Research. The publication covers wide areas of the development process. It is devoted to the multi-disciplinary study of development problems of Ethiopia in particular and the less developed world in general. Book reviews, synopsis of major research, theoretical and methodological approaches in the general area of development are also acceptable to the publishers of this journal. Contributions are welcome from any part of the world.

    The Journal of Ethiopian Law is a scholarly publication devoted to publishing unsolicited original scholarly submissions that make significant contribution to or bring new insight as regards the understanding, development and implementation of the law applicable in Ethiopia. It’s an annual journal published bilingually in Amharic and English (Ge’ez, French and Italian under special circumstances).
