Finfinnee Journal (FJ) aims to advance the fields of first language, literature, and folklore. The journal's editorial policy reflects FJ’s commitment to publishing high-quality research and providing a platform for intellectual engagements by upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. The journal has the following editorial principles:
1) Prioritizes the quality and originality of research works with methodological rigor, theoretical clarity, and scholarly excellence.
2) Undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process by relevant scholars with proven competence in the field, and it also holds responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of the review process 3) Adheres to the highest standards of academic publishing expecting authors to maintain academic integrity.
4) Avoids plagiarism including self-plagiarism by appropriately addressing misconduct in this regard. 5) Applies the principle of open access to the academic community.
6) Strives to conduct the review and the publication process from the beginning to the end as per the timeline, and the editorial team facilitates communication in this regard.
7) Aspires to consolidate interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration across diverse fields of Oromo studies.
8) Encourages authors to submit their manuscripts online or manually complying with the journal’s rules, regulations, and guidelines.
9) Prioritizes research works on Oromo linguistic, literary, folkloric, and communicative issues.
10) Underscores that the authors are solely responsible for the views expressed in the articles. The author receives a copy of the journal, and the journal retains the copyrights of the publication and the contribution.
11) Appreciates the diversity of ideas and views and encourages scientific dialogue among scholars.
