About the Journal

Finfinnee Journal (FJ) is an open-access double blind, peer-reviewed journal aspires to be the leading intellectual platform for language, literature, and folklore. The journal aims to build a vibrant community of scholars that deeply cherish interdisciplinary and inclusive dialogues of the highest standards, making marginalized voices heard, and securing academic integrity and cultural authenticity with the Addis Ababa University community, the country, and beyond. Thus, the journal envisions the entertainment of cosmological, sociological, psychological, cultural, and ecological values and systems with the bottom-up philosophical orientations.

Aim
Finfinnee Journal (FJ) aims to establish a ground-breaking journal that fosters multidisciplinary exploration of language, literature, and folklore promoting inclusivity, challenging conventional narratives, and driving forward a nuanced and inclusive discourse in Ethiopia and East Africa.

Scope
Finfinnee Journal (FJ) accepts and publishes original research works reviews and essays from diverse fields of mother tongue languages, literature, and folklore. Manuscripts submitted for publication could be empirical research, theoretical works, book/chapter reviews, essays, and communique. The journal also entertains papers focusing on media and communication related topics.

JOURNAL LANGUAGE The language of the Finfinnee Journal (FJ) will be Afaan Oromoo and English; however, under special circumstances only, manuscripts in other languages can be considered.
