CURRENCY FLUCTUATIONS AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE ETHIOPIAN BALANCE OF TRADE

Abstract

During the past four years the financial world has witnessed substantial chan~
ges in the par value of most countries' currencies. The realignment of currencies
began in May of 1971 when Germany and the Netherlands decided to allow
their cu rrencies to float as a result of a large influx of American dollars
