Labour-management rellltion in Zambill are undergoing chllnge whicb is being brought about through the legisillt ive process. Wbile it sbares many of tbe features of indus/rial democracy found in Europe, it has taken on several of its own. Uniqueness is introduced as a result oftbe politiclll philosophy of the government as well as the social and economic
history of the country. Significa nt background factors and environmental fo rces comributing to cbaTige are presented. Specific attemion is devoted to tbi nature of lllbou r-management
relations subsequent to recently enacted industrial democracy legislation. Tbe lluthor examines the extent to wbich the objectives of 'Worker participation and labour peace are being realiz.ed.
