The Technology Input of Industrialisation in Ethiopia: Issues of Transfer, Choice and Development

Abstract

This article reviews the main issues in the choice and transfer of technology to the developing countries. It also attempts to highlight the developments in the adoption and adaptation of new technologies in the Ethiopian manufacturing enterprises during the Pre-Revolution period. Some lesso'ns to be learnt in future decisions to import technologies are also suggested.
