About the Journal

The journal is named “Journal of Finance, Management and Development” and abbreviated thereafter as “JFMD”.

The journal is aimed at providing an appropriate platform to stimulate publication in the areas of Finance, Management, Economics, and Development. But academic research articles and other publishable works from related disciplines and cross sectional issues are also welcome. The JFMD is a biannual peer-reviewed publication of the College of Finance and Economics, Ethiopian Public Service University and its main mission is to provide a platform for publishing scholarly manuscripts or research works including: original research articles, review articles, book reviews, systematic reviews, case study, and meta-analysis.

The aims of the JFMD are to publish original manuscripts or research outputs dealing with national and international financial, managerial, economic, and development issues; disseminate information relating to current research results, novel theories, developments, and innovative ideas that contribute significantly to the body of scientific knowledge and derive the future financial, business, and development sectors; and provide a credible and accessible platform to academicians, researchers, students, and practitioners from different background to engaged in theoretical and empirical research. Hence, this new journal will always accept original manuscripts, primarily basic and applied research articles, review articles, book reviews, systematic reviews, case studies, business reports, and meta-analysis that explore emerging challenges and opportunities within the scope of the journal.

The JFMD welcomes the submission of various types of original manuscripts. These manuscripts include original research articles (based on quantitative and qualitative data research outputs), review articles (narratives, literature reviews, scoping reviews, book reviews), systematic review articles, meta-analysis articles, and business case studies/reports/series.
