About EJOL
Ethiopian Journals Online (EJOL) is hosted by Addis Ababa University. The objective of EJOL is to provide a platform to publish local journals online using Open Journals System (OJS) so as to increase participating journals visibility, and to the research convey through open access (OA). The EJOL platform is freely available to all locally published open access journals in Ethiopia.
- A child of a project on promoting open access publishing to Ethiopian journals.
- A collaborative Project of Addis Ababa University Libraries and Electronic Information for Libraries ( EIFL)
- Addis Ababa University Libraries was one of the winners of EIFL OA advocacy call for proposals(2013)
- EJOL Platform has been implemented using OJS in September 2013.
- EJOL was launched in March 2014 with six Journals.
- EJOL upgraded to the latest version OJS 3 in April 2017
