What Research Says about African Science Education

Abstract

In this paper an attempt is made to highlight research documented on
the processes and practices of science education in Africa in the last
30 years. The paper first discusses the criticisms made on African
science education programs. The second part deals with the case of
Ethiopian science education. . In the third part the major
recommendations made by the researchers will be discussed. Finally,
concluding remarks that contain leading questions for future' research
on African science education will be forwarded.
