Measuremen.t and Evaluation Procedures of First Year Students: The Case at Jimma University

Abstract

Jimma University (JU) is one of the youngest higher institutions 335
km away· from the Addis Ababa. It was established by the
amalgamation of Jimma Institute of Health Sciences and Jimma
College of Agriculture in 1999. the University is very much known for
its innovative Community Based Education, which was found to be
effective in the training of health personnel. Now the University is
trying to adapt this philosophy to the other fields of training
