ON THE EQUATION XY = Z (Y - X2) OVER A UNIQUE FACTORIZATION DOMAIN

Abstract

The article gives the parametric solutions of xy = z(y - x2 ) over
any unique factorization domain. An application of the obtained characterization to Diophantine equations is demonstrated.
