Abstract

Usually, people are not happy with the mass media. They accuse the media of concentrating on negative news or promoting conservative ideas. But they don't think about the working conditions and the atmosphere in which journalists are bound to work. Ten Pakistani universities are producing almost 500 graduates of Journalism and Mass Communication every year and most of them join media organizations as working journalists. The study attempts to investigate the level of job satisfaction expressed by journalism graduates working in different media organizations of Pakistan. The study concludes that the graduates working in the electronic media are more satisfied with thier jobs than those who are working in the print media organization.
